About me.

Early years.

I grew up in a tenement flat in Glasgow, with two teachers as parents. I had two passions; ballet dancing and motor racing. Dancing was a lot easier for my parents to help me experience, with motorsport being in my bedroom where my dad would draw rally super special stage on my floor. That was until 1998, when we got a PC computer. Then I would spend every possible moment playing a Grand Prix racing game from 1995.

Injury

Studying at the Dance School of Scotland was the making of me. I studied there until 2005 when an  injury forced me to give up on a dancing career. However, the rigorous training established in me many of the fundamentals for competing in any endeavour.  It taught me discipline and perseverance. Around this time I bought my first Playstation with a steering wheel and pedals and started logging an insane amount of hours behind the wheel on Gran Turismo 5 and 6. I left school and went  on to study Motorsport Design Engineering. In 2012 I competed in Gran Turismo and Nissan’s GT Academy.

Electric 2012-Present.

At the tail end of 2012 I bought my first electric car, a Renault Twizy. I used it to get to and from work. Come wind, rain or snow, the Twizy was out on the road and it always turned heads. I quickly fell in love with the feeling of electric driving. At the same time I competed in Abarth’s Make it Your Race, and GT Academy again. In 2014 I began working with Tesla. I worked for Tesla and Caterham as well as traveling, promoting electric cars, in the Middle East, Europe and the States. My passion for electric cars and performance driving endured. I regularly took road trips through Europe to follow the WRC and Le Mans, as well as driving Electric Vehicles to the extremes in Asia and the Arctic.

I still enjoy going to the ballet.
