Charlie Fraser announces key sponsors to make Electric Rally Cross Dreams happen.

It is with huge pleasure and gratitude I want to announce my partners that have allowed me to be able to go racing this year. With the birth of grassroots electric rally cross in the UK, it couldn’t have come at a more beneficial time.

I believe motorsport has the power to help turn some of the tide away from the climate crisis and our problems with inner-city air pollution, training in London, I actively have the air quality index on my watch so I can see when the best time for my outdoor activities are because of diesel and petrol fumes. This extends in some regard to everyone reading this today. Air Pollution is silent and harmful, Electric cars directly have an impact in driving down these emission in city and towns and you can make an impact by switching. Hopefully, I can provide some entertainment over the next few races to prove that they are also amazing fun.

Octopus Electric Vehicles - The Complete Electric Solution
Joining me first is Octopus Electric Vehicles, a company close to my heart and one I have been a part of for over two years. They provide the complete solution for businesses looking to make the switch, both for their fleet or offering their staff an amazing benefit through salary sacrifice. We push boundaries and challenge the status quo together, challenging peoples’ perceptions of what electric cars can and will be. Octopus Electric Vehicles are joining me as a title sponsor and I would kindly suggest, when wanting to learn more to book into one of their free informative workshops, you might even see a friendly face there.

Jorro
I first met David a long time ago, on a rainy day at the Tesla store in Edinburgh, we both share a passion for seeing Scotland at the forefront of this electric vehicle revolution and providing the basis to do this. Both are keenly hoping that Knockhill is added to the calendar in the not too distant future to allow us to show Scotland what these RallyCross cars can do. Jorro install chargers across the whole of Scotland and I have to thank them for helping me get my race licence and my tyres on my car this year.

Technical Partnership - Easee

Easee are helping with charging cars the venues across the UK as we continue to change the way we look at how we can keep multiple cars filled up and filled up fairly as well. Alan is an old Tesla colleague of mine and it is very exciting to be on this journey together to electrify race circuits (one at a time mind you) across the UK and beyond.

Notable others -

There are a few more people I would love to say thank you to for all their involvement with me over the past while. Firstly my parents for letting me chase this over the past ten years, and they all too well know how financially draining it can be. Also to Scott Robson at Supercarworld UK, for always being there to bounce ideas and other things off of as well as providing all the simulator entertainment in the depths of lockdown. To the REI Sportscar group of lads I used to race with online and to the Medway race league, providing the most fun and enjoyable moments while racing on the simulator, and helping through dark times. Neil Roberts and Heather Kennedy for their support through their respective communities, I will try to bring something home for all those early adopters out there. I have had inspiration from my fellow Apple Alumni in Scott Simoesmuir with Chillin and Killin and Euan Platter at NyStart fitness. And finally, to anyone that has ever sat in a car with me, I have learned from every moment, of me driving or of you, whether you know it or not, you have added to my ability to go quicker and quicker, Thank You.

Let’s get after it - Charlie
