The reason I am here.
Don’t you just wait it when something you love has to become a guilty pleasure?
This isn’t about singing Abba in the shower, or eating Tacos twice a week, but more about the fact that I fell in love with motorsport from a very young age. In a one bedroom tenement flat in Glasgow, my Dad draw and painted a race circuit onto the floor of my bedroom. Not just any race circuit, the Super Special Stage at Silverstone, because of this.

Colin McRae, Jacques Villeneuve, Damon Hill and Michael Schumacher were my heros, I went to school very day for about 3 years in an old Shell Ferrari cap.
But as time as gone on, I have realised that cars and transport have a detrimental effect on the environment. The diesel fumes that pump themselves out of the back of buses, taxis and lorries up and down Alexandra Parade, where my primary school was, and the petrol engines that produce a huge chunk of the CO2 that effects our climate.
Something needs to change. But I firmly believe motorsport can help do this. It helped invent seat beats, improve helmets and crash testing. It has helped push engines to the limit and created new ways for us to travel. It created an industry of modifications and upgrades to road cars. Why can’t this amazing culture that spreads itself right around the world help this positive change. Well I believe it can.
From now on, I will only race in electric cars, or I will pay a tax to carbon offset both the driving and the travel to the location. I want to hear your thoughts, and I would love you have you involved. Get in touch and lets make this change together.
Yours
Charlie
